A visit to the studio of emerging artist, Oliver Braid. He is a visual artist whose work explores the contemporary critical currencies of affection, buoyancy and cameradie, evaluating their contribution to the production and motivation of creative inspiration through a practise with a strong focus on collaboration and co-operation. Most recently, Oliver has presented his project, I’ll Look Forward To It at Collective in Edinburgh – a multi-stranded investigation into the role of expectation in creativity and relationships – as part of the 2011 New Work Scotland Season. In 2012 he will present a new solo exhibition My Five New Friends at The Royal Standard, Liverpool and a new performance at Tramway, Glasgow as part of their New Work Symposium. Throughout 2012, he is also co-presenting a new weekly radio show with artist Ellie Harrison, hosted by CultureLab, Newcastle and is involved with the artist’s therapy group Artist Anonymous.
