The Printmaker’s Art: Rembrandt to Rego

For the first event of 2024, we will explore The Printmaker’s Art: Rembrandt to Rego with curators Kerry Watson and Hannah Brocklehurst.

The exhibition focuses on print pioneers who have made their mark in the last 500 years. Themed by printmaking technique, from etching and woodblock to screenprinting and linocut, artists range from Albrecht Dürer in the 15th century right through to contemporary artists such as Tracey Emin, Chris Ofili, Tessa Lynch, David Shrigley, Yinka Shonibare and Lucy Mackenzie.

This great survey show reveals how artists have approached printmaking in different ways over time and includes short films showing the techniques, as well as the tools of each process.
