Simulated Patient Curated by Christine Borland

Before we take our August summer break, we will visit a really unusual exhibition, Simulated Patient taking place in a unique, purpose-built space in the Medical School of Glasgow University – a series of 10 pairs of rooms, the Communication Skills Suite, where medical students practice enacting potential future scenarios often dealing with difficult situations, like breaking bad news with actors in the role of patients.

Curated by one of Scotlands foremost contemporary artists, Christine Borland, a group of international artists including Borland herself, will include works which deal with issues of artifice/integrity, simulation/performance in art and medicine and more generally as inherent in all human communication.
